Ubuntu: Fix for Unable to locate tools.jar....
Ran into this nasty error today while trying to build irccat. Perhaps you’ll see something like this at the end of the output as well:
BUILD FAILED /home/lucas/irccat/build.xml:22: Unable to find a javac compiler; com.sun.tools.javac.Main is not on the classpath. Perhaps JAVA_HOME does not point to the JDK. It is currently set to "/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-openjdk/jre"

Yes Virginia you can run Chrome right now
A lot of people don’t think you can run Chrome on anything but windows yet. Rightfully so because if you search for Chrome Mac or Chrome Linux, you get an intimidating “we’ll email you when it’s ready” form. But, you can get early access releases for Mac and Linux (including 64-bit) right now on the dev channel.

A few thoughts about the mobile world
The Android market is fantastic. The changes made between 1.5 and 1.6 in particular were very good. Some more improvements that would be nice to see:
A desktop app for managing your current apps and “discovering” ones
Better UX in the market comments (ie specifying the hardware of the commenter, highlighting comments from people who have the same hardware as you)
