#Playdar Resolver for @SoundCloud →
First step. Still super loose. But cool stuff like this is now resolvable.
Amie Street #Playdar Resolver →
Ported the Amie Street Playdar resolver to python and made it use the Amie Street Python API Client . Currently only resolves samples, but with a little more hacking it should support full playback of songs you’ve purchased in no time.
An HTML 5 Audio Player That Doesn't Suck
I’m tired of seeing HTML 5 Audio examples that make something so cool look so JV.
If you check out the demo and your’re using Safari 4 or Chrome, all playback will be handled by Audio. Sorry, but if you’re using Firefox 3.5+, you’ll get tossed to the SoundManager2 handler as FF doesn’t support Audio tags for mp3’s.

Naveen put out a call a while back about a foursquare AIR app to keep track of your friends during the day. We have something up and running now, but it needs somebody to sprinkle some sex on it and make it look good and polished.

Lessons Learned from the Amazon Shopping Experience
The focus of an e-commerce site should be product search and online buying.
Whenever possible, content should be unique for each user.
Create sales incentives by giving “Why shop with us” reminders.
Give products as much exposure as possible.
Don’t make the user feel as some products/services are being forced on them.

Using the Amie Street API to get your Play History
This is currently missing from the lastest version of the JS client on production, so its a bit hackey, but this is just the first example of some really cool things you can do.

#playdar's missing something...
Reading the post on wired.com yesterday got me thinking again about playdar. If you haven’t heard about it yet that’s ok. But, you’ll probably be hearing about it a lot soon because it really is one of those really big ideas (like toilet paper and soda) that can change things considerably.
What is it?
From a user prospective, think of it as Spotify (think of a song, find it,...

Embedding @github gists using JSONP, jQuery and a...
I use the shit out of Github Gists. I’ve been working on some javascript the past few days and wanted to post some code examples here using their embed script. However, Tumblr (like just about every other blog service that you dont self host) purifies your post text, stripping out script tags, embeds, etc because of security. However, you can usually add your own JS in your template code...
foursquare:
A foursquare reference on The Simpsons??? In an episode heavy on Twitter / Facebook references, Lisa quips: “No one plays foursquare, they just gossip!”
I’m 50/50 on whether it was a nod to us - and if so, it’s a a total dig - but whatevs!
Little backstory: Kate Bauer pings me via text (“they just foursquared on the simpsons!”), I tweet it out, flip thru the twitter search...
